What is product compliance?
Product compliance describes a series of regulatory requirements that a product must meet to be sold in the European Union. These requirements cover every phase of the product life cycle: from the product safety and compliance standards and its production to the mandatory information on the physical packaging and on the online product detail page.
Product requirements in the EU and the UK
The requirements necessary to sell your products may vary depending on the product and the country in which you sell. We recommend that you consult your provider or legal advisor to ensure that you have all the relevant information.
Regulation on Market Surveillance
What are the existing requirements? Since 16 July 2021, sellers must appoint an EU Responsible Person in order to sell CE-marked products in the EU. CE-marked products must be labelled with the contact information of the Responsible Person. This label can be placed on the product, on the packaging, on the parcel or on an accompanying document.

Amazon already collects the contact information of Responsible Persons for non-EU ASINs and brands that use Fulfilment by Amazon through the Responsible Person dashboard.
