Discover Amazon Custom

Amazon Custom is a store on where shoppers go to customise their products with text, images or logos, or from a list of options that you provide. Custom products are cross-listed in our store as well as in the specified department.

Customisation options available

Amazon Custom supports the three customisation types shown below: text, image, and product configuration. If you are able to fulfil orders with these customisation types, sign up today and start selling customisable products with Amazon.

Text customisation
Text customisation allows customers to add text to your products using the colour and font options specified within Seller Central. This option can be used for engraving, embroidery, printing, painting and more.

Image customisation
Image customisation allows customers to personalise the product by uploading their own image. The customer can also add text to display on the image.

Product configuration
Product configuration or a "list of options" allows you to create a series of drop-down options through Seller Central that customers can use to create their own product. This feature also allows you to charge an additional fee for some customisation options.

How it works

Phase 1

Register to join
Register to get the custom feature set applied to your Professional Sellers account.

If you're an Individual Seller, you'll need to upgrade your account and become a Professional Seller before signing up for the feature set.

Phase 2

Enable your listings
Once your account has been registered for Amazon Custom, you'll be given access to enable your product listings for customisation.

Configure your experience
Using our listing tool in Seller Central, start configuring your customisation experiences.

How soon after I submit my application will I receive an approval notification?
Approvals are typically sent within one hour via email, with links to help you get started. If you are not accepted, you'll be notified when you submit your application.
I'm not a Professional seller. Can I still sign up for Amazon Custom?
You must be a Professional seller to sell using Amazon Custom, unless you are listing on Handmade.
Can I use Fulfilment by Amazon to manage my custom orders?
Due to the customisation aspect of these products, all orders must be fulfilled by you, the seller. Fulfilment by Amazon is currently not available for customisable products.
Do you support bulk feed uploads?
We currently only support text customisation feeds for one area and up to five lines. Image customisation and product configuration still require a manual one-by-one upload.
Can I list in any category?
You can list customisable products in any category in which you are authorised to sell. However, customisable products are not currently available in the media product groups and cannot be used for personal computers, laptops, computer towers, tablets or video consoles. What costs are associated with Amazon Custom?
Our current feature set is free of charge; however, as new features are added, additional fees may apply. The standard monthly subscription fees and Amazon selling fees will still apply while using Amazon Custom. For more information on fees, see the Selling on Amazon Fee Schedule.
How will shoppers discover my customisable products?
Customisable products are treated like any other listing on Amazon, so their discovery is no different. There is currently a dedicated storefront for customisable products, but if you're looking to increase exposure to your products, why not try Sponsored Products?
Can I use Amazon Custom to customise products for businesses with their logo?
Yes, our image customisation feature is a great way for businesses to design a product featuring their own logo.
How many customisations can I offer to customers?
All types of customisation (text, image and options) can be used simultaneously in a single product listing. We currently offer 5 surfaces with 10 customisations per surface and up to 100 options.
