The individual selling plan costs €0.99 per unit sold, while the Professional selling plan costs €39 (excluding VAT) per month, regardless of the number of product units sold.

Referral fees

Amazon charges a referral fee on each item sold. The amount varies depending on the product group. Most of the fees per product group are between 8% and 15%.

Fulfilment fees

The cost for shipping your orders varies depending on how your orders are fulfilled: by you or through Fulfilment by Amazon.

Other costs

Some selling partners may incur additional fees (such as storage fees) or pay for optional programmes such as advertising or premium account services.

Getting paid and paying fees

When you set up a seller account, you are required to provide a credit card number and a bank account. Amazon will charge your credit card to cover your fees, and proceeds from any sales will be deposited into your bank account.

For each item sold, sellers pay Amazon a percentage of the total price (which includes the item price, shipping costs, and any gift-wrap charges) or a minimum amount, whichever is greater. Fees per category are in addition to selling plan fees.

Fulfilment by Amazon storage fees

Inventory storage fees are charged monthly depending on the average daily volume (measured in cubic metres) of the space your inventory occupies in Amazon fulfilment centres. Volume is calculated based on the size of the unit, properly packaged and ready to ship.

Additional selling fees

Inventory fees
If you store inventory in an Amazon fulfilment centre—available to selling partners who use Fulfilment by Amazon or Multi-Channel Fulfilment—in addition to your monthly inventory storage fees, you may be charged other fees, such as long-term storage fees, overage fees, and removal order fees.
High-volume listing fees
The high-volume listing fee only applies if you exceed 2 million SKUs in a given month and is calculated on the highest number of SKUs over 2 million at any time during that particular month. For each active non-media SKU over 2 million, a fee of €0.0004 per SKU will apply.
Refund processing fee
If you refund a customer for an order for which you have already received payment, Amazon will refund you the amount of the category fee you paid for the item(s), minus the applicable category fee, which is less than €5.00 or 20% of the applicable category fee.

For example, if you reimburse a customer for the €10.00 total sales price of an item in a category with a 15% category fee, the refund processing fee will be €0.30 (€10.00 x 15% category fee = €1.50).

How are the Fulfilment by Amazon fees calculated?
Fulfilment by Amazon fees, or management fees, are calculated per item based on the category and size/weight of the item, and the channel in which it is sold. They cover the costs of storing your items in Amazon fulfilment centres, picking, packaging, shipping after purchase, and customer service.

These fees are charged per calendar month for all items stored in Amazon fulfilment centres. Based on the fulfilment channel used, you can get an estimate of your revenue (both of total sales revenue and per unit sold) using the Fulfilment by Amazon revenue calculator for specific items listed on Amazon.
What is the Fulfilment by Amazon calculator?
The Fulfilment by Amazon cost calculator is a preview tool that you can use to check and compare the estimated revenues for all the fulfilment options available for the products that you have listed on Amazon and registered for Fulfilment by Amazon. What is the difference between Amazon fees and Fulfilment by Amazon fees?
Amazon fees refer to the total fees that all sellers must pay to list and sell products on the Amazon website. They include referral fees, which are a percentage of the total price of your product excluding tax. They are charged for each item sold and vary by category.

Depending on your selling plan, you may also incur a per-item fee or a monthly fee. For example, the Professional sales plan incurs a monthly subscription fee that also offers users a number of benefits.

In addition to this, some sellers may have to pay other costs for premium services, marketing or other reasons. More detailed information about these fees is available on this page.

By contrast, Fulfilment by Amazon fees are charged only for the products that you have listed under this specific service. They are charged per unit based on the category, size, and weight of the item and cover the costs of storing, picking, packaging, and shipping your products using Fulfilment by Amazon. If you have opted for this service, these fees will be charged in addition to the other Amazon fees mentioned above.
How much does Amazon charge to store products?
Sellers must pay a storage fee for all items stored in Amazon fulfilment centres. The rate is calculated based on the average daily volume of products stored measured in cubic metres.

The rate varies depending on the calendar month: it is lower from January to September. A slightly higher amount is charged for the latter months of the year when traffic tends to be higher (from October to December). The exact amount also depends on the product category and size.

There is a separate fee plan for storing items that are classed as dangerous goods.
