What is the Amazon shipping service for bulky and heavy products?
Whether it's a sofa, washing machine or sports equipment, simple and practical planning will improve the customer experience when it comes to delivering bulky and heavy items. Ensuring that customers are home to receive the delivery will save you time and reduce the cost of failed deliveries. The Heavy & Bulky programme offers two shipping options
Arranged delivery
With this shipping option, customers are informed both on the detail page and during checkout that they will be contacted to arrange delivery, and they are asked to update their telephone number before completing the order. You or your carrier will contact the customer via phone, text message or email to arrange delivery.
Scheduled delivery to floor
With this shipping option, customers can choose their preferred delivery date or time slot in the calendar at checkout. You can set your calendar in advance with the available delivery dates and time slots. At checkout, customers can also update their phone number, in case they want to be contacted on the day of delivery. Delivery will arrive at the floor of the customer's home.

Heavy & Bulky is an invitation-only programme designed to offer the best possible experience when delivering large, heavy parcels. In order to participate in Amazon's Heavy & Bulky programme, you must meet the following requirements:
- Products: sell bulky and heavy items (>30 kg or 1.5 m in length)
- Traceability: always enter tracking numbers on Amazon and work with an affiliated carrier that can provide Amazon with complete tracking information.
- Delivery scheduling: for an arranged delivery, you or your carrier agree on the delivery with the customer. For a scheduled delivery, you can deliver heavy and bulky products by the delivery date or within the time frame chosen by the customers. You can set your calendar in advance with the available delivery dates and time slots.

Sign up for the programme and set new shipping options
Upon receipt of your application, we will contact you to verify if you meet the criteria for enrolment in the programme. After registration, you can set your new shipping options in your shipping settings.
