After following the steps described above to create a selling partner account and publish the book selling ad, it can be converted into an FBA ad.
On the Seller Central page, select "Manage All Inventory" under the "Inventory" section of your account.
Choose the book you want to convert by ticking the box next to it in the leftmost column.
Going to the "Edit" drop-down menu and select "Convert to Fulfilment by Amazon".
At this point, you will be directed to the conversion page. Clicking on the "Convert" button will change the ad. Check the instructions to complete your first shipment.
Amazon will provide you with a list of fulfilment centres. Choose the one closest to you and follow the instructions to send the book to that centre.
Amazon will generate product shipping labels for your books in PDF format. Print them out and attach them to the shipping package as indicated.
You can use Amazon's discounted shipping to send the books to the fulfilment centre. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN), a selling method that allows you to list your products on the Amazon store but manage the storage, shipping and customer service independently.
In some respects, this method may be more convenient, but you must always take into account the need for a suitable space for storing the books, which are otherwise likely to deteriorate and become damaged.
With Fulfilment by Amazon
, as soon as the books are in the warehouses, the staff themselves will take care of packaging and shipping them. In addition, Amazon will always provide customer service, manage returns and send a package tracking number.
However, Fulfilment by Amazon involves costs that must be taken into account, especially if you have just started your business.
The first cost involved is for sending your first shipment from your business's pickup address to Amazon fulfilment centres. This first shipment is at your expense and if you request a pickup from Amazon, it will be credited to your Seller Central Account. With Fulfilment by Amazon, you only pay for the services you use.
There are no FBA subscription fees, contracts or minimum inventory requirements. You ship your books to the fulfilment centre, paying only for the handling services and storage space used. Italy has a fixed price policy for books that is valid throughout the country.

All fees are deducted from the total amount paid by the buyer at the time of sale. The remaining amount, visible in the "Payments" section of the Reports tab in Seller Central, will then be credited to your bank account. An electronic invoice will be sent monthly by email, containing all fees or other amounts due.
If the books on sale are small in size, you can also take advantage of Small and Light
, a programme aimed at small and light products that have a maximum price of €10. The main objective of this programme is to try to reduce fulfilment costs. It is advantageous if the Selling Partner does not use the FBA service, but decides to think about order processing themselves.
To participate in the programme, the first step is to enrol in Fulfilment by Amazon. Once this is done, you will need to register the offers that are eligible for Small and Light. Lastly, you will have to send the inventory to Amazon.
