Amazon Business has helped our company achieve its strategic objectives

MutecPower Access King
Access King is the company that owns the MutecPower brand and was one of the first businesses to sell in all countries available on Amazon Seller Central. Aryeh Safern founded Access King in Belgium in 2012 with the aim of providing high-quality cabling online that stands out from the competition. The company immediately became a selling partner on Amazon and entrusted its entire logistics management to FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon).
Amazon Pan-EU was really useful because it enabled us to send all the products to a single destination, leaving Amazon to take care of distribution in all European markets. Pan-EU has also helped us increase sales significantly.

Covid presented the team with a challenge: Daily sales doubled at the start of the pandemic, but once Chinese production sites and ports had closed, stocks sold out and could not be replenished. Delays with deliveries and higher shipping costs also had a negative impact on the business. But now, operations have returned to normal and the company is thinking of further strengthening its relationship with Amazon's business customers.

Amazon Business has helped our company achieve its strategic objectives

Aryeh points out that, by targeting business customers, Amazon Business has helped Access King achieve its strategic goals.
When Amazon Business launched, we made two decisions: Firstly, we gave business customers a discount; secondly, we offered a bulk discount to all companies that made more than 5, 10 or 20 purchases. These choices have helped us a lot because they've enabled us to foster loyalty among business customers. As you know, everyone loves a discount!

Aryeh also spoke about B2B customer behaviour:
Business customers don't buy sporadically and, if they are satisfied, they tend to place new orders. Sometimes, they buy large quantities of products and repeat the same order after a certain period of time. When they do this, we know they’re happy that our products deliver value for money.

Brand expansion with Amazon

MutecPower is a registered trademark in Europe and the United States. Aryeh is delighted with the success of his brand on Amazon: "Thanks to Amazon’s Brand Registry service, we've been able to strengthen our position considerably and we've noticed lots of B2B companies searching for our brand."

Key tips for businesses

Aryeh shared his thoughts with other business owners who sell on Amazon: "The most important thing is to stay focused. Amazon Business is not a part-time job. Selling on Amazon is a full-time job. What's more, you need to offer B2B clients lower business prices and bulk discounts."

He points out that the two main challenges are competition and lower prices: There are thousands of sellers and it's difficult to beat them just by cutting prices. Aryeh told us what he believes to be the secret to success: "It's about providing an original product that stands out from competitors' offerings. This means you need to identify a niche market with a product that has little competition, and set reasonable prices."
